Meet Mrs. Amy

Hi, I'm Amy!  I live in Twin Falls, Idaho and I'm a certified Let's Play Music instructor.  My husband and I have twin daughters.  I have been singing and playing music my whole life!

I have a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from Oberlin Music Conservatory and a Master of Music degree in flute performance with a minor in music education from the University of North Texas.  I have been a finalist and winner of many prestigious competitions, including The National Flute Association Young Artist Competition and Flute Talk Competition.  I have played with many orchestras, including The North Carolina Symphony and the Phoenix Symphony.  I was a staff sergeant (SSG) in The Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, a special army ensemble, where my duties were to play for heads of states, perform at the White House, and escort the President in inaugural parades, amongst many other performing venues.   I love to accompany choirs and performers on the piano.  I have taught pianists and flutists of all ages for over 20 years, including as a Visiting Professor of Flute at East Carolina University.  I discovered Let's Play Music in 2011 and became a certified teacher in 2013!  Let's Play Music is my dream job since it combines my love of children, music, teaching, and FUN!

If you have never seen a Let's Play Music class in action, and would like to, you are welcome to come and sample a class.  Please contact me at lpmwithamy@gmail.com or at 208-421-5157 to schedule a visit or to ask any question you might have about Let's Play Music.  I hope to meet you soon!
